| Idaho and Oregon offer some spectacular Blue Grouse hunting in September between elevations of 5 to 6 thousand feet. The birds can be found in the early mornings on open grassy ridglines feeding on grasshoppers that are too cold from the cooler frosty nights to fly yet.
