| Gadwall are often grouped and flying with Widgeon. Our ponds off the Boise River attract more Widgeon and Gadwall than Mallards around Thanksgiving. Many gadwall are passed on as the look so much like a hen mallard. As winter arrives the Mallrds hold the higher inventory. |
