We buried Dusty at a tender age of 8 due to complications from gastric dilation-volvulus (bloat). Most that saw Dusty perform in the field will forever remember her as an incredibale bird finder; I will have to say that I personally have never seen a comparable hunting dog to Dusty. I will always remember her on a pheasant opener finding 18 of the 20 birds taken from a single sugar beet field when braced with 5 other NAVHDA Utility prized dogs. She was my constant companion and I still miss her every day. Dusty earned her Utility prize at 11 months of age showing what she was truely made of. We never recieved pups from her that made our breeding standard as her genetic influence must have been mostly recessive. I have seen the spitting image of Dusty in a young female, Prairie Trouts Calendar Girl, and Dusty is her great-grandmother. For anyone wanting to test their sensitive side, ask for an attached email of Dusty's life.
